Synspective, a GeoWorks’ GeoTech, presented a webinar on Flood Damage Assessment (FDA), which is vital for the resilience of local communities and economies post-disaster, on the 28th of April.

During the session, Shoji Koike, its Head of Global Sales, reflected on his childhood experiences witnessing major and frequent floods in Thailand and the importance of flood measures through data creation.

Synspective’s data acquisition efforts by satellite development saw the launch of StriX-⍺ in 2020. The data that is collected in the form of SAR images, among others, is integral in disaster relief methods in assessing the immediate environmental damage done, understanding the commercial impacts and forecasting restoration.
