Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant Holdings Pte Ltd and Asia Piling Co Pte. Ltd. to be charged for the gathering of 65 pax
The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) has filed charges against Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant Holdings Pte Ltd for allowing a group of 65 persons on its premises at 200 Turf Club Road on 6 February 2021. The gathering was a company dinner organised by Asia Piling Co Pte. Ltd.
2. SLA has also filed charges against Asia Piling Co Pte. Ltd. for organising a gathering involving 65 persons for a purpose that is substantially recreational or personal in character.
3. Both Ah Yat Abalone Forum Restaurant Holdings Pte Ltd and Asia Piling Co Pte. Ltd. will be charged in court on 1 September 2021 at 10am, Court 4B for contravening the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Control Order) Regulations 2020.
4. The Government takes a serious view of such violations. Under the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, first-time offenders will face a fine of up to $10,000, imprisonment of up to six months, or both. Subsequent offenders may face a fine of up to $20,000, imprisonment of up to 12 months or both.
