Appointment Of Members Of The Singapore Land Authority
The Singapore Land Authority (SLA) is pleased to announce that the Minister for Law has appointed four new Members of the Singapore Land Authority. They are appointed for a term of two years from 1 June 2003. They are: (See Annex for bio-data.)
a. | Dr Steven Choo, Senior Vice President of Research and Corporate Development, CapitaLand Ltd; | |
b. | Mr Venkatachalam Krishnakumar, Regional Director, Operations and Technology, Asia Pacific and Japan, Citigroup; | |
c. | Mr Stan G. Tebbe, Regional Director, ExxonMobil Chemical Asia Pacific; and | |
d. | Mr Raymond Woo, Principal Architect, Raymond Woo & Associates Architect. |
They will join Mr Liew Heng San, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Law and Chairman of SLA, and six other existing Members who have all been re-appointed for a further period of one year from 1 June 2003. The re-appointed Members are :

e. | Mr Timothy Teo, Director of Foreign Exchange, Government of Singapore Investment Corporation Pte Ltd; | |
f. | Mr Greg Seow, Executive Chairman, DBS Vickers Securities (Singapore) Pte Ltd; | |
g. | Mr Chia Wee Boon, Vice President, Customer Support, HP Services Asia Pacific. |
SLA would also like to express its appreciation for the outstanding service and guidance rendered by four retiring Board Members, three of whom have served SLA since its formation on 1 June 2001. They are:
a. | Mr Sunil Sreenivasan, Citigroup Country Officer, Citibank, N.A; | |
b. | Mr Alfred Wong, Managing Director, Alfred Wong Partnership Pte Ltd; and | |
c. | Dr Grace Wong, Senior Lecturer, Department of Real Estate, National University of Singapore; | |
d. | Mr Andrew Witty, President, Pharmaceuticals Europe, GlaxoSmithkline PLC, (since 1 June 2002). |
The appointment of the new Members and the re-appointment of existing Members on overlapping terms is for continuity and continual injection of new Members. This approach enables the governing board to bring fresh ideas, new perspectives and a steady hand to guide the management in fulfilling SLA's mission and objectives.
