Chip Bee Gardens and Tanglin Village

Chip Bee Gardens

SLA manages 409 terrace houses and walk-up apartments in Chip Bee Gardens. Chip Bee Gardens was constructed in the mid-1960s as married quarters for the British Armed Forces. Until the 1970s, it was a residential enclave for their members. Following their withdrawal in the same decade, the estate became a popular district for expatriate teachers teaching in various international schools and tertiary institutions in the area.

Today, it is an established lifestyle and F&B enclave popular among locals and tourists, with lifestyle offerings such as The White Rabbit, PS Café, Dempsey Hill and COMO Lifestyle. Tanglin Village is a physical representation of adaptive rejuvenation as State properties are given a fresh lease of life by entrepreneurs who help inject buzz and vibrancy to the precinct through the introduction of exciting and compelling concepts.
