About Singapore's Southern Islands
The Southern Islands of Singapore are the offshore islands located off the south coast of Singapore, comprising of eight main islands – Sentosa Island, St John’s Island, Lazarus Island, Seringat Island, Kusu Island, Sisters’ Islands (Big Sister’s and Small Sister’s) and Tekukor Island.
The Singapore Land Authority manages St John’s Island, Lazarus Island and Kusu Island. These idyllic island gems provide a quiet respite for Singaporeans away from the city.

Experience nature on the St John Island's Trail
1] Start off with a ferry from Marina South Pier to St John's Island.
Relax at the idyllic Lazarus Beach
2] Take a 15 to 20 min walk to the beautiful Lazarus beach over the Lazarus causeway.
Immerse in the unique culture of Kusu Island
3] Return to the St John’s Island jetty to take the next ferry to Kusu Island
Getting there
By Ferry: Regular ferry services serve St John’s and Kusu Islands from Marina South Pier and Seringat Island from Sentosa Cove on fixed schedules. Take note that there are no scheduled ferry services to Lazarus Island or the Lazarus Island beach, and visitors will have to make their own way there from St John’s Island.
Getting to Marina South Pier: Marina South Pier is easily accessible via MRT (Marina South Pier Station), taxi or public transport.
Safety Advisory
Please note the following guidelines when visiting the SLA-managed islands:
· Please bring along sufficient drinking water and food to last the whole day.
· Occasional encounters with wildlife in natural environments are unavoidable.
· There are no medical services available on the islands.
· Overnight camping is only permitted at designated areas, click here to apply for camping permits. Any public event requires a Public Entertainment License
· Recently, there have been sightings of box jellyfish in Singapore's waters. For the safety of our island hoppers, SLA has put up advisories on the Southern Islands, which includes information on recognising symptoms of jellyfish stings as well as the administering of basic first aid. SLA would like to remind visitors to stay vigilant even as they enjoy the beauty of the islands.
